Today’s business casual version is my popular tunic shirt outfit of the week (here are my casual and smart casual interpretations).
The business casual clothes code is all about circumstance. As a fashion stylist, I stray on the dressy and originative side of business casual which realises this outfit suitable for my line of work. So, true to my expressive style I layered a black silk chiffon polka dot blouse over a fully conservative tunic shirt. Turned back the cuffs and added a fun beaded pearl necklace. I matched the look with black cigaret pants, obvious biker bootees and a very specific red handbag. For affectionateness, I attract on a wool coat or trench coat. For a more white-collar inside business look, I summate a black boyfriend blazer or daily charcoal patterned blazer.
In a more moderate work environs, you can forget away the layered blouse and add a broad waist-cinching belt, bootcut slacks and frequent pumps. A scarf tied the despotic way adds a nice touch too. You may also level a soft boyfriend or cascading cardigan over the belted tunic shirt.
Once more, no waist definition on this fit out because that’s how I personally favour the look (though I am not allergic to belts). A strong shoulder line paired with sleek bottoms offers enough structure. Tomorrow, you might see a bit more waist definition when I tackle a semi formal setting.
